Executive Chef- Walter Shepheard
Chef Walter grew up locally here in Franklin as well as Coastal Virginia. He has been in the culinary business for over 28 years. He specializes in international dishes and loves using locally sourced ingredients in all of his dishes.

Manager- Sierra Owsley
Sierra grew up in Hawaii and Arizona but made western North Carolina her home in 2017. She has been a part of our team for years serving, bartending, and now managing. When she’s not at the restaurant, she is typically studying and finishing her degree in business law.

Assistant Manager Andee Parris
Our assistant manager Andee Price was born and raised in Western North Carolina. She is very eager to be working with our amazing staff and calls Root and Barrel her home. When she is not at work, you can catch her adventuring around Franklin with her two adorable daughters.
